An unexpected hotfix recently released for Diablo 4 which has doubled the Uber Unique drop rates from the Echo of Duriel endgame boss.
This came as a welcome surprise for many, as it seemed that Diablo 4 already received its final update before the end of the year.
In keeping with the holiday spirit, Blizzard has answered the prayers of many Diablo 4 fans by doubling the drop rate of the game’s rarest items!
How Long Will Uber Unique Drop Rates Be Doubled?
The doubled drop rates of Uber Uniques from the Echo of Duriel will last until January 8, 2024.
Although the exact time is not confirmed, our best guess is that it will end at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET / 6 PM GMT, based on when Blizzard usually implements updates for Diablo 4.
If so, this means you have exactly to farm Duriel to take advantage of the doubled Uber Unique drop rates in Diablo 4!

Uber Unique Drop Rates Doubled
In a recent hotfix, Blizzard has temporarily doubled the Uber Unique drop rate from defeating the Echo of Duriel in Diablo 4.
This is huge, as Uber Uniques are the most powerful and rarest items in the entire game. Trying to acquire them is a massive part of the endgame experience for many Diablo 4 players.
In addition to the changes to the Uber Unique drop rate, Blizzard also implemented balance changes to the Metamorphosis Vampiric Power.
Diablo 4’s Community Manager, Rich Bantegui, confirmed these changes in a post on Blizzard’s forums:
Previously, the best way of getting your hands on Uber Uniques was by farming the Echo of Duriel.
However, before the hotfix, some players reported that it could take hundreds of attempts before seeing one drop. This would take a significant amount of time, as it can take quite a while to get the mats to summon Duriel in the first place.
The new drop rate helps to alleviate this issue. It should significantly improve the hunt for Uber Uniques in Diablo 4!

- Doombringer
- The Grandfather
- Ring of Starless Skies
- Andariel’s Visage
- Harlequin Crest
- Melted Heart of Selig
- Ahavarion, Spear of Lycander
