Harmonix and NCSoft have announced that music game Fuser’s live services will be disabled, and the game and its DLC will be delisted.
If you’ve got a few Fuser achievements still to tie up, you might want to move quickly; Fuser and all its DLC will be delisted on December 19th, while the game’s live services will also be disabled, discontinuing multiple achievements.
Fuser online services shutting down on December 19th
“We want to thank you for mixing with us. On December 19th, we will be disabling Fuser’s live services and all sales of the game, as well as its DLC,” the announcement states. “Players who already own Fuser will still be able to play the Campaign and Quick Play with any DLC they have already acquired.”
This shutdown of Fuser’s live services will likely render a number of community-based achievements discontinued, a dozen by our count — The Work of Your Predecessors, Get the Party Started, Keep the Party Going, Good Vibes, Keep the Good Vibes Flowing, Brand Loyalty, Whip Something Up Real Quick, Show ‘Em What You’ve Got, Diversified Portfolio, Hearts and Earholes, Community Service, and More than a Hobby. More than a Hobby, which requires eight weeks’ worth of voting and submissions for events, seems like it will already be impossible without having at least four weeks’ progress in the bag, while Community Service may only be possible from scratch for another few days based on the time remaining.
Sad to see servers close for Fuser? Need any of those achievements? Let us know down in the comments!
