The Sandbox has launched a new Halloween VoxEdit Contest in which players have to create spooky and scary creatures using The Sandbox’s VoxEdit software. The contest began on October 17, 2022, and will end on October 31, 2022. In addition, The Sandbox has also announced the Star Atlas game jam, where participants have to create experiences for the Star Atlas universe and can earn massive rewards.
Star Atlas Game Jam
Star Atlas is a space-themed multiplayer gaming metaverse based on the Solana Blockchain. Recently Star Atlas partnered with The Sandbox to launch the Star Atlas VoxEdit contest. Now the metaverse platform has announced a Game Jam in which creators can now create Star Atlas inspired games and submit them until November 13, 2022.
Players must register on the Star Atlas website and connect a wallet to participate in the contest. All the entries should be made using Game Maker Software. Star Atlas and The Sandbox staff will judge the entries, and the results will be announced on December 17, 2022. The submissions and voting will take place from November 14 to December 11, 2022.
Each entry must have some playable features, which include quests and missions. The entries must be unique and not copied from existing features in The Sandbox metaverse. However, new features can be inspired by existing ones. The game length must be at least 5 minutes and contain at least 25 different assets. Entries should include personally created Game Maker software assets and be based on the Star Atlas Universe.
Participants must submit the games from the Game Maker Gallery option using a game title and add a short description. After the submission, you must also submit your game through this google form. This is mandatory, failing which the entries will be canceled. Before submitting the entries, players must connect their Solana wallet with Star Atlas.
Rewards
The submissions will be judged based on the best overall idea, best game design, unique experiences, and best use of Star Atlas lore. A prize pool of 30,000 SAND tokens and Star Atlas prizes will be divided among the top participants. Each winner will receive 7500 SAND, 3 Fimbul Airbikes, 3 Star Atlas Game Keys, and 3 Fimbul Lowbies.
Halloween VoxEdit Contest
The Halloween VoxEdit is live between October 17 to October 31, 2022, and voting will continue from November 1 to November 13, 2022. Participants have to submit a GIF of a fully animated asset and tweet the asset’s GIF mentioning @VoxEdit, and @TheSandboxGame. To finalize the submission, they must also fill out this google form.
The Sandbox team will conduct the voting internally, and results will be declared on November 19, 2022. Participants must also remember that they must create an asset based on the contest theme (a scary or spooky creature) using The Sandbox’s free VoxEdit software.
Rewards
A prize pool of 15,000 SAND will be distributed to the winners as per the following tiers:
- 1st place: 6,000 SAND
- 2nd place: 3,500 SAND
- 3rd place: 2,000 SAND
- 4th to 10th place: each receives 500 SAND
