Xbox has just announced its new feature coming to consoles, through their newswire the players have learned that Discord Voice Chat is coming to Xbox Consoles. From July 20, 2022 Discord Voice Chat will available on Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One, it will only be rolled out to Xbox Insiders at the moment, but will soon be readily available to the whole world. Through the feature players will be able to connect with anyone through Discord voice channels or group calls directly from the console.
This is one of the top requested features on the Xbox and Microsoft has finally delivered to the players. The Discord application that is coming to Xbox Consoles will allow the player to voice chat while playing games. So the players will just have to join the voice channel of the other player and they can chat together while having a difficult run, or just casual playing. Through the Xbox Discord application, the players will be able to spot the participants on the channel, adjust the sound and also switch between Discord and Xbox Game Chat.
The players that are looking to check out Discord Voice Chat on Xbox should first open the guide by pressing the Xbox button on their console. In that Menu, the players should look for a ‘Parties and Chat’ option and click on it. This will open a new menu where players have to look for the Try Discord Voice on Xbox option and click on it. This process will then ask the player to scan a QR code which will take them to a menu where they have can link their Discord and Xbox account. If they have already linked both accounts, then they will have to relink them.
As mentioned earlier, this application will only be available to Xbox Insiders at the moment and then will be rolled out to the general public. However, once the player is done linking, they will be able to use Discord on Xbox the same way they have used on other platforms. On the Discord Mobile app, the players will get a new option ‘Join on Xbox’, which will transfer the voice chat from the mobile application to the Xbox console.
