More Minecraft crossover DLC is on the way soon, with June’s Minecraft Now presentation giving us our first look at its next guest star — the one and only Spongebob Squarepants.
Today’s Minecraft Now episode gave us a lot of news about the future of Minecraft, showing off the spooky Warden mini-games and the wonderfully overgrown Mangrove biome before giving us a glimpse of what will be coming to the Marketplace soon… including the arrival of one Spongebob Squarepants.
Minecraft Now: June 2022 episode
Minecraft is no stranger to welcoming guest characters, having brought the likes of Star Wars, Frozen, Adventure Time, Minions, Sonic the Hedgehog, and many more to blocky life across a bunch of downloadable content packs. Up next will be a trip to a fully recreated Bikini Bottom to visit the star of a million memes and all his strange friends, with an original storyline to play though where you try to help the gang enjoy their best day ever through a series of missions and mini-games.
