Ahead of the matchup, Florida State released its depth chart — one that is starkly different from ones seen throughout the season. The reason? As of publication, over 20 players have opted out of the game either due to transferring or declaring for the NFL Draft — including starters in quarterback (Tate Rodemaker), running back (Trey Benson), tight end (Jaheim Bell), defensive end (Jared Verse), defensive tackle (Fabien Lovett), defensive back (Akeem Dent), linebacker (DJ Lundy) and wide receiver (Keon Coleman and Johnny Wilson). Running back Lawrance Toafili, who is returning to FSU, will be unavailable due to injury.
The latest three unavailable players are defensive lineman Braden Fiske and Joshua Farmer as well as linebacker Tatum Bethune, all out with injury.
