Miami Dolphins at Baltimore Ravens: Predictions, picks and odds for NFL Week 17 game – USA TODAY

If last week featured a preview of the Super Bowl, Week 17 could be a sneak peek of the AFC championship.
The Baltimore Ravens (12-3) return home after a monster upset and take on the Miami Dolphins (11-4) at M&T Bank Stadium.
The Ravens defense nabbed five interceptions in their 33-19 rout of the NFC West champion San Francisco 49ers. Their first-ranked running game racked up 102 yards led by MVP candidate Lamar Jackson and a touchdown from Gus Edwards. Jackson also threw two scores.
The Dolphins have an extra day of rest after escaping the Dallas Cowboys 22-20 on Christmas Eve. Raheem Mostert scored his 21st touchdown, which leads the league. Tyreek Hill had nine catches for 99 yards. Jaylen Waddle suffered an ankle injury and his status is uncertain for the Ravens matchup.
Will the Ravens be able to take one step closer to locking up the No. 1 seed? Or will the Dolphins offense have a field day with their own playoff position to play for?

Oddly, Baltimore has struggled a bit at home and has gone 4-3 against the spread. Still, the Dolphins have some short-yardage issues to address, issues that have persisted throughout the second half of the season. That said, Miami does have speed that could make them an intriguing play here, but Baltimore’s physicality could be the difference.
This game should be on primetime. The Ravens made a statement on Christmas when they thoroughly outplayed the 49ers. The Ravens are the best team in the NFL and Lamar Jackson deserves to be the MVP front runner. Miami finally beat a good team last week, but they are going to be outmatched by Baltimore.
These teams could meet again in the AFC title game this season. It’ll just be a matter of where, with the No. 1 seed in the AFC on the line. The Dolphins believe they ended the narrative they can’t beat winning teams against the Cowboys last week. But the bulk of the Ravens’ wins this season have come against much tougher opponents like the 49ers, Jaguars, Rams, Lions and Seahawks this season. Tua Tagovailoa may not throw six touchdowns again like he did on his last trip to Baltimore last season, but Miami has enough firepower to beat Lamar Jackson and the surging Ravens. 
If there were any questions about the Ravens last week, they were squashed in their dominant road win over the 49ers. Miami also impressed by beating the Cowboys, but Jaylen Waddle has an ankle injury now and it’s likely Tyreek Hill still isn’t 100 percent. Baltimore is fired up and the Dolphins are kind of getting by, so Lamar Jackson and company should take this one.
Baltimore has set itself as the standard following the win in San Francisco. Miami got a huge win last week, but the defense won’t be able to limit Lamar Jackson and company much this time around as the Ravens roll.
