The Portland Trail Blazers return to action Tuesday night after having three days off to face the Sacramento Kings at home.
The Blazers played well at the Kings on Nov. 8 losing 121-118 in overtime. That came early in what developed into an eight-game losing streak.
The Blazers will enter Tuesday night having lost nine of their last 10. Picking up a win over the Kings (17-11) won’t be easy for obvious reasons. Sacramento’s combination of De’Aaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis is one of the best in the league.
But also, the Kings haven’t dropped any games against teams with losing records. All 11 of their losses have come against teams that currently have at least a .500 record.
On the other hand, the Blazers have three wins over teams currently with a winning records (Phoenix, Cleveland, Indiana), and have come close to pulling off some other upsets.
Prediction: The Blazers’ defense has dipped as of late and when the Kings get rolling, they are tough stop. Sacramento is the pick. This space ended a five-game losing streak when the Blazers lost to Golden State on Saturday.
