A chance of showers and some wind could impact Sunday’s late afternoon clash between the Buffalo Bills and Dallas Cowboys at Orchard Park.
The National Weather Service in Buffalo predicts winds from the south at 13 to 15 mph, as well as a chance of showers on Sunday in Orchard Park. The chance for rain increases as the day goes on; Buffalo Bills-Dallas Cowboys gameday kickoff is at 4:25 p.m.
There’s no risk of snow, with temperatures well above freezing — the daily high and lows at 49 and 39 degrees, respectively.
But, for a visiting team that plays indoors and has the can’t-miss rookie kicker Brandon Aubrey, it is the wind forecast we should watch closely.
The AccuWeather forecast for Orchard Park calls for winds strengthening into the evening with gusts up to 21 mph. The chance of precipitation in their forecast also increases into the evening, including potentially heavy showers late in the game or on the ride home from Highmark Stadium.
Despite the above freezing air temperatures, AccuWeather predicts a RealFeel temperature of 27 degrees on Sunday night, with a coat and hat recommended. Sunset is 4:42 p.m.
Sports betting sites don’t agree with the amount of impact the forecasted weather could have on the field. The Bills and Cowboys matchup rated as one of the seven worst-weather games of the weekend on DraftKings, but RotoGrinders gives the forecast a green rating to signify no major impacts.
