OnChain Studio, Animoca Brands Japan and web3 entertainment company Apas Port are collaborating to launch a new experience based on digital toy collection Cryptoys.
US-headquartered OnChain Studio currently have their own collections of Cryptoys characters known as Zoo-F-O Escape, in addition to Star Wars characters, Mickey and Friends and Masters of the Universe. By combining these with various activations, the three companies will provide a new expansive entertainment universe for Cryptoys collectors.
OnChain Studio CEO Will Weinraub, said: “We’ve seen tremendous interest in Cryptoys from Japan and throughout the region overall. Through this partnership, we’re excited to expand the Cryptoys brand into Japan and connect with collectors directly. We have many new activations launching in the coming months, and we can’t wait to introduce those to Japanese collectors.”
Via Cryptoys’ platform, users can unbox their Cryptoys, including both new and familiar characters. They can decide to either keep their toys in mint condition or unwrap them to see them transform into animated toys with personality and signature moves.
In a quest to reach a wider audience and appeal to a new user base, Animoca Brands Japan and Apas Port will create various activities to promote this new experience.
