Cyberpunk 2077, the sci-fi action RPG set in a dystopian future by CD Projekt Red, reportedly offers players the opportunity to explore an additional city, distinct from Night City and Dog Town. Access to this new area, however, requires playing the recently released Phantom Liberty DLC for the game.
The city in question is none other than New York City, and players have the opportunity to explore its streets. As per a VG247 report, accessing this city involves a few steps. Firstly, players must align with Solomon Reed in the DLC’s main quest line until they get the Somewhat Damaged quest. Secondly, they’ll require a mod, like Freefly, enabling them to pass through walls to gain entry.
Once they reach the Somewhat Damaged quest, they will be put in a sequence where players will find themselves having a conversation with a net runner called Song So Mi. This conversation takes place in an apartment that is situated in New York, and players have the opportunity to leave the conversation and explore the streets of Brooklyn.

However, it’s important to know that this exploration section was never intended by the developers. Therefore, players won’t encounter any NPCs in this area. Nevertheless, it remains interesting to witness the old-school architecture of this city, unlike the futuristic tech prevalent in Dogtown and Night City, alongside the iconic yellow and black taxis. Are you planning to explore New York in Cyberpunk 2077 as well?
