CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – A Massillon military family walked out of a Browns shut-out game with a $25,000 check Sunday.
According to a press release from CrossCountry Mortgage, Steven and Jessica Truesdale met on deployment while serving overseas.
Steven has served in the United States Marine Corps and the Army National Guard since 1998. Jessica served in the US Army Reserves and the Army National Guard from from 2003 to 2011.
CrossCountry Mortgage gifted the family with the $25,000 check to help with housing costs at the Browns’ Salute to Service game.
60 veterans and military family members also carried to American flag on the field to kick off the game, according to the release.
“We are honored to show support year-round to the brave individuals who protect our nation and our rights,” said Laura Soave, chief brand officer at CrossCountry Mortgage.
