My buttons and triggers became less and less responsive over time. Then a trigger switch tweaked and allowed half range in all positions. Fed up, I looked up a disassembly guide and began carefully separating the shell. From what I remember the fasteners are either T5 or T6 w/security pins. First I cleaned the trigger switches on the back half, then the buttons and trigger assembly, then the whole front half. After reassembly all functions are 100% responsive although the triggers have a little stick when first pressed. I think that’s just from residue from the alc swabs. I never was able to fix my issue with the paddles, the nub that contacts the actual button isn’t large enough so the paddle hits the back of the controller before pressing the button. I have a plan to drop a bit of solder on the nubs to give the paddles a bit more elevation away from the case. submitted by /u/South-Coat4178 |
