HAYWOOD COUNTY, N.C. (WLOS) — The annual football clash between Pisgah and Tuscola high schools is set for Friday, Oct. 13.
The county clash game between the schools representing the towns of Canton and Waynesville brings in more than 10,000 people year in and year out. For the third year, it will be played at Tuscola’s Weatherby Stadium in Waynesville, after flooding damaged Pisgah’s stadium in 2021.
FOOTBALL RETURNS TO PISGAH MEMORIAL STADIUM
Canton's mayor says that, combined with the recent mill closure, will just bring on more resolve by the Pisgah Bears.
Pisgah will be looking for a little revenge too, having lost last year by one point in double overtime.
The gates will open at 5 p.m. Friday.
