An Orlando man now faces charges after Leesburg police said he flashed a gun during his son’s Pop Warner football game.
Quan Isom was arrested around 6:45 p.m. Saturday night at his son’s youth football game. Police said this happened while a homecoming event was also happening on school grounds.
According to court records, Isom and his wife were watching his son’s game when an argument over whose kids were better players started. The argument was with the parents of the opposing team’s players.
Investigators said things eventually got heated, so much so that Isom allegedly went to his truck, grabbed his gun, and flashed it. Police said he made threats.
He was eventually stopped by police in the school’s parking lot. Officers said he became less cooperative with officers and, at a point, threatened to kill a K9 officer.
He was eventually taken down by officers, according to court records.
Police said they found a revolver with four rounds in the chamber, as well as whiskey and beer.
He is charged with possessing a weapon on school grounds, resisting arrest, carelessly exhibiting a weapon, and possessing a weapon while being a convicted felon.
