As announced on the game’s official website, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 is running two weekends of multiplayer betas starting on October 6, but Xbox and PC gamers can only get past the bouncer on the second weekend. This is nothing new, as PlayStation has had the marketing deals and exclusive content on Call of Duty for a few years now.
We’ve listed the full dates and times for the multiplayer beta below so you can get stuck in as soon as the servers open up.
Call of Duty: MW3 Beta release date and times
Even within the PlayStation and Xbox gamers, there are staggered times for the multiplayer beta depending on pre-orders, so here’s the full list of when you can access the Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Multiplayer Beta:
PlayStation gamers who have pre-ordered the game
Date: October 6-7
Time: Oct 6 at 6pm BST / 10am PT / 1pm ET until Oct 8 at 6 pm BST / 10am PT / 1pm ET
All PlayStation gamers
Date: October 8-10
Time: Oct 8 at 6pm BST / 10am PT / 1pm ET until Oct 10 at 6pm BST / 10am PT / 1pm ET
Xbox and PC gamers who have pre-ordered, and all PlayStation gamers
Date: October 12-13.
Time: Oct 12 at 6pm BST / 10am PT / 1pm ET until Oct 14 at 6pm BST / 10am PT / 1pm ET

Date: October 14-16

How do I access the Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Multiplayer Beta?
The later stages of the open beta are open to everyone — you’ll just need to download the game when it shows up on your platform’s store page. As of right now, it’s not available to download on Xbox.
In the U.S., it’s also possible to secure early access if you’re an Xfinity subscriber (shout out to Gamespot for spotting this). Head over to your subscriber tab on the Xfinity website to find out more.
What maps are in the Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Multiplayer Beta?
As revealed in the multiplayer beta trailer, there are five maps in the CoD MW3 Multiplayer Beta: Favela, Estate, Rust, Skidrow, and Highrise. That last map, Highrise, will only be available during the second weekend, which is when Xbox players get let through the doors anyway.
