EA Sports FC 24 has debuted in first place on the UK All Format Chart, scoring the second biggest retail launch of the year although physical sales are 30% down on EA’s last FIFA game.
Only The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom managed to beat EA Sports FC 24 in terms of physical launch sales. This year’s title is the first EA football game without the FIFA license, having parted with FIFA to produce its own franchise. Despite this, FIFA will continue to develop its own rival series.
Elsewhere, on the chart, Mortal Kombat 1 drops to second place while Star Wars Jedi: Survivor re-enters the chart at number eight.
