The scary cult classic is back just in time for Halloween!
Atooi is back in the news once more. First it was revealed that the developer’s long-gestating project Hatch Tales will finally launch come 03.28.24. Now, Atooi has surprised everyone with the return of its 2007 cult classic horror title Dementium: The Ward. The game will make its HD debut on October 12, 2024, putting it in the hands of players just in time for Halloween. You can see how it looks running on Nintendo Switch in this trailer:
Creepy stuff, eh? Dementium was renowned when it launched for being both an M-rated DS game and also pushing the graphical limitations of the little handheld. Even now, the game is still looking pretty sharp running at 60fps and upscaled to HD (admittedly, this version is based on the 3DS remaster from 2015, but it’s looking great nonetheless). This rerelease will also be making tweaks to the UI in order to make the game as smooth of a playing experience as possible.
