According to Remedy’s communications director, Thomas Puha, while Alan Wake 2 was designed as a 30FPS game, it will still have a Performance Mode for Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5. However, it’s not currently known if the performance mode will run on 60FPS. When asked on Twitter if the mode will run at 60FPS, Puha responded that the team was “Still Tweaking that.” Alan Wake 2 will launch on October 27 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
I’m glad to say that Alan Wake 2 will have a Performance mode on PS5 and Xbox Series X. The game has been built from the beginning as a 30fps experience focusing on visuals and ambiance, but somehow we have managed to include a solid Performance mode. We’ll talk details later.
