If you’re interested in seeing if Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will live up to the usual Insomniac level of polish, here is the embargo date and time.
When Does Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Review Embargo Lift?
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 reviews will go live on October 16th at 7 AM PT / 10 AM ET / 3 PM BST, according to outlets that have already received their codes. This is four days before its official release.
Countdown to Spider-Man 2 review embargo:
When the embargo lifts, players will have a chance to see what different reviewers have to say about the game.
The game will expand on Peter Parker and Miles Morales’s story, adding iconic villains like Venom, Kraven the Hunter, and The Lizard. However, Peter Parker and Miles Morales are the only two confirmed playable characters.
Players can switch between both characters instantly and even see each other while fighting crime around Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn, and Coney Island.

After the embargo drops, you can keep an eye on all of the reviews that are going live by visiting the Spider-Man 2 Metacritic and OpenCritic pages.
Marvel’s Spider-Man received an 87 on Metacritic, while Miles Morales received an 85. If Spider-Man 2 can follow the precedent set by the past games, then we expect it to score over 85.
Insomniac themselves have a pretty excellent track record with their recent games, with none of their recent games scoring below 80.
