After you’ve found a group of players to take into EA FC 24 Pro Clubs, you’ll need to figure out what formations and custom tactics you’ll use to reach Division 1.
Your formation and custom tactics heavily influence how your team’s AI performs and how many offensive or defensive players you have. This isn’t as important for teams with all 11 players, but for those with only 3-4 Pros, it makes a huge difference.
If you want to reach Division 1 with your team, here are some custom tactics and formations that will help you reach your goal.
Best Pro Clubs Formations & Custom Tactics in FC 24
Here are the top three formations and custom tactics to use in EA FC 24 Pro Clubs:
4-1-2-1-2 (2) Narrow
- Defense
- Defensive Style: Balanced
- Width: 43
- Depth: 50
- Offense
- Build-Up Play: Balanced
- Chance Creation: Direct Passing
- Width: 43
- Players in Box: 4
- Corners: 1
- Free Kicks: 1
| Position | Instructions |
|---|---|
| GK | • Default |
| RB | • Stay Back While Attacking • Overlap |
| RCB | • Default |
| LCB | • Default |
| LB | • Stay Back While Attacking • Overlap |
| CDM | • Stay Back While Attacking • Cover Center |
| RCM | • Cover Center |
| LCM | • Stay Back While Attacking • Cover Center |
| CAM | • Default |
| LST | • Stay Central |
| RST | • Get in Behind • Stay Central |

You only want to focus on the positions you don’t already have filled out in your team. You’ll want most of your team to have an attacking position to get the most out of this formation.
This way, you can prioritize playing the ball up top, while your defensive players stay back in case of a sudden counterattack.
4-3-3 (4)
- Defense
- Defensive Style: Pressure On Heavy Touch
- Width: 48
- Depth: 60
- Offense
- Build-Up Play: Balanced
- Chance Creation: Direct Passing
- Width: 60
- Players in Box: 4
- Corners: 1
- Free Kicks: 1
| Position | Instructions |
|---|---|
| GK | • Default |
| RB | • Stay Back While Attacking |
| RCB | • Default |
| LCB | • Default |
| LB | • Stay Back While Attacking |
| RCM | • Cover Center |
| LCM | • Stay Back While Attacking • Cover Center |
| CAM | • Stay Forward • Get Into Box For a Cross |
| RW | • Come Back On Defense • Get Into Box For a Cross |
| LW | • Get Into Box For a Cross • Come Back On Defense |
| ST | • Get in Behind • Stay Central • Stay Forward |
This formation allows you to take control of the field and barrage your opponents using both wingers to send crosses to your striker. The CAM can easily play the wingers to leave the striker free and able to move about freely.
5-3-2
- Defense
- Defensive Style: Balanced
- Width: 50
- Depth: 60
- Offense
- Build-Up Play: Balanced
- Chance Creation: Direct Passing
- Width: 65
- Players in Box: 4
- Corners: 1
- Free Kicks: 1
| Position | Instructions |
|---|---|
| GK | • Default |
| RWB | • Overlap |
| RCB | • Default |
| CB | • Default |
| LCB | • Default |
| LWB | • Overlap |
| CDM | • Cover Center • Stay Back While Attacking • Cut Passing Lanes |
| LCM | • Stay Back While Attacking • Cover Center |
| RCM | • Cover Center |
| ST | • Get In Behind • Stay Central |
| ST | • Get Into Box For a Cross • Stay Central |

This formation is best used with teams that only have 2-4 real-life players who can take control of a player. It allows you to have more peace of mind during a counterattack and will cut most of the passing lanes other teams are looking for.
However, you are left with very little help when attacking, so we recommend having one of the custom tactics shown above for Ultra Attacking with more offensive-oriented players for any games where you are losing in the final stretch.
