EA FC 24 is the first game that will include both men and women football players in Ultimate Team, but what does that mean for the Chemistry mechanic?
Chemistry is one of the foundations of Ultimate Team that helps balance out some of the teams you will encounter when playing the more competitive modes. Since men and women play in different leagues, this could make it difficult to form a club with full chemistry.
Here, we’ll explain how it changes the mechanics and if men and women share chemistry in EA FC 24.
Men & Women Chemistry Links in EA FC 24 Ultimate Team
Women players can share Chemistry with men from the same nation and club as them. This means that if a club has both a men’s and women’s team, then they can form chemistry links with each other.
Leagues will work as they usually do, which means that Premier League players will link with Premier League players, and Women’s Super League will link with Women’s Super League.
This means these are the Chemistry Links that men and women share in FC 24:
- Club Chemistry – Yes
- Nation Chemistry – Yes
- League Chemistry – No
For example, Lauren James (WSL/England) will receive Chemistry from Reece James (PL/England) because of Chelsea and England, but they will not receive a link for their League. Despite the WSL and PL both being the highest tier of English football for women and men, respectively, they do not share chemistry links in EA FC 24.

This creates some interesting dynamics when players are trying to form clubs because they need to incorporate their managers and leagues more intricately to get full chemistry.
It also presents a greater challenge for players when looking to complete Squad Building Challenges that require a certain amount of leagues and chemistry.
