Armored Core 6 has been out since last month and while players have been busy dealing with its diffcuilty, a dataminer has been spending hteir time trying to dig up what’s next for FromSoftware and Bandai Namco’s game. Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon is a mecha-based vehicular combat game and it seems like a DLC is coming its way in the future.
This information was discovered by Zullie the Witch, a popular dataminer in the Souls community. They were messing around in game files and discovered text that suggests a DLC has already been planned for the game.
The text files found by Zullie reads:
- 710000 DLC parts have been deactivated
- 710010 DLC emblems have been deactivated
- 710020 DLC AC data has been deactivated
- 710030 Change in DLC ownership status has altered AC assembly.
Zullie believes these texts indicate that a big DLC is coming to Armored Core 6 but they also left room open for a possibility that maybe these files are simply referring to the pre-order bonus that players received. However, that seems unlikely, as NicheGamer points out that the pre-order bonus only gave early unlocks rather than exclusive in-game items. This makes it difficult to associate the rewards from pre-order with the files that are talking about “DLC parts.”
Currently, we have no official word about any DLC, so take this information with a grain of salt. Oh, and if the part about Armored Core 6 being too difficult resonated with you, there’s actually a mod out there that makes the game easier to get through. Happy gaming.
