Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced the release date for its streaming handheld device PlayStation Portal.
According to the announcement made on the official PlayStation Blog, the device will release in select markets on November 15, 2023.
Said markets are U.S., U.K., France, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Italy, Spain, and Portugal.
Pre-orders for these markets on top of Japan and Canada will open on September 29, while release dates for the other markets (including Japan and Canada) will be announced at a later time.
The price, as already announced, will be $199.99, €219.99, £199.99 GBP, or 29,980 yen depending on where you live.

The device was revealed at the latest PlayStation Showcase, and it’s basically a portable streaming consoles for your PS5 games via the Remote Play feature.
PlayStation Portal includes the features of the DualSense wireless controller, including adaptive triggers and haptic feedback, and comes equipped with a 8-inch LCD screen capable of 1080p resolution at 60fps, on top of a 3.5mm audio jack for your favorite headset.
It connects to the PS5 via Wi-Fi and can stream games installed on the console, with no cloud or PlayStation VR2 compatibility.
While the device is certainly interesting for part of the PlayStation audience, many fans have been asking Sony for a new full-fledged portable console for years.
Yet, unfortunately, the manufacturer seems not to be very receptive of that demand following the mixed performance of the PlayStation Vita, which was beloved by many (including yours truly) but did not make as big a splash commercially as its predecessor, the PSP.
