
DICE has revealed that Battlefield 2024 update 5.2 will implemented a much-requested feature: Squad leaders will now be able to boot players from their squad.
While the full list of patch notes has not been revealed yet, the studio did share a few details on what to expect. Check out the tweet below.
We’ve heard you loud and clear, you want the ability to define who you play with in a Squad on #Battlefield2042. Arriving as part of Update 5.2, Squad Leaders will have the ability to Lock, Unlock, and Remove Players from their Squads. Squad Leader not up to the task? Battlefield 2042 was released in November 2021 for PS5, PS4, PC, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One. The game was plagued by various issues at launch, and was criticised for its lack of content. In fact, back in May, a former developer who worked on the game suggested that Battlefield 2042 ‘never stood much chance of being great at launch.’
Despite early hiccups, DICE worked to improve things over the past 18 months or so, and the game is in a much better state now, so much so that the studio has teased that Season 6 is in the pipeline.
