Even though it hasn’t been officially confirmed, the running rumour has been that 2023’s Call Of Duty game will be Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.
On Monday though it seems that Activision might have accidentally confirmed that Modern Warfare 3 is coming, while DMCA striking images that, in the description of the DMCA strike, are described as being “leaked content from unreleased video game Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare III.”
In previous years, we’d already be aware of what the Call Of Duty title coming in the Fall would be, though as of time of writing, we’re still officially in the dark.
Though there have been reports that have provided some hints, all pointing towards Modern Warfare 3 being this year’s title, that provide some kind of insight into this year’s coming release, such as how it allegedly began as an expansion for Modern Warfare II, but was later decided to be a full release.
While we’ve already been through the not-E3-but-E3 season of announcements, there’s still Gamescom to come this August, and with Call Of Duty titles generally releasing between October and November, it’s likely we’ll hear something official by September.
