While Dying Light 2’s next DLC has been delayed, the Good Night, Good Luck update arrives on Xbox this week as part of the Summer of Horrors.
Earlier this month, Techland announced that its second Dying Light 2 expansion has been delayed into 2024, as the team has additional features it wants to add before releasing it. On the topic of new features, Dying Light 2’s Summer of Horrors kicks off tomorrow, June 29, with Good Night, Good Luck update, and Bloody Nights event.
Dying Light 2 Good Night, Good Luck update trailer
The update trailer exclusively revealed by IGN gives us a rundown of what to expect with the Good Night, Good Luck update that rolls out on Xbox tomorrow. The nighttime experience has received an overhaul, causing creatures like Volatiles to appear in more locations, and Techland is introducing new parkour animations, increased airborne control, and a new mechanic to maintain momentum. On top of that, a new Physical mode parkour style will give you greater control of Aiden when traversing The City, or you can continue using the assisted controls. On PC, players will have the ability to try out Dying Light 2’s Community Maps, and the feature is expected to arrive on consoles soon.
Dying Light 2’s Summer of Horrors will run between June 29 and sometime in September, offering up a host of events, crossovers, and updates along the way. The first event, Bloody Nights, arrives tomorrow and will task us with looting valuables in the dead of night for fresh rewards… if the Volatiles don’t rip us to pieces first. Bloody Nights will run between June 29 and July 13.
