According to a recent comment by Xbox Game Studio head Matt Booty, Microsoft will no longer develop games for the Xbox One. “We’ve moved on to Gen 9,” Booty said. However, he also stated that Xbox One players will still be able to play current-gen first-party games through the Xbox cloud streaming service, Xbox Cloud Gaming. Several recent Xbox first-party titles like Hi-Fi Rush and Redfall did not launch for Xbox One, and upcoming titles like Starfield will also strictly be current-gen exclusive titles.
