The Pokemon GO Season of Hidden Gems has its first Special Research Story for players to complete, and Starry Skies finally allows players to catch a second Cosmog!
While Cosmog has been in Pokemon GO since September 2023, players were limited to just one, which was not enough to get both of its evolutions Solgaleo and Lunala. Luckily, the new Starry Skies Research gives players the chance to get a second Cosmog.
These are all of the tasks and rewards for both paths in all four steps of the Starry Skies Special Research in Pokemon GO:

Starry Skies Step 1/4
Step 1 Completion Rewards
- Wobbuffet
- 5 Razz Berries
- 7 Stardust
After finishing step 1 of Starry Skies, you will also have a decision to make about which Research Path to take. Find out whether the Daytime or Nighttime Path is better in Pokemon GO Starry Skies and then come back to see the remaining tasks and rewards.
Starry Skies Step 2/4
Step 2 Completion Rewards
- Galarian Slowpoke
- 15 Poke Balls
- 78 Stardust
Starry Skies Step 3/4
Step 3 Completion Rewards
- Starmie
- Glacial Lure Module
Starry Skies Step 4/4
Step 4 Completion Rewards

Now that you have completed the Starry Skies Special Research in Pokemon GO, you’ll have earned the Legendary Pokemon Cosmog, which is the only Legendary in the game that can evolve.
Find out how to evolve Cosmog into Solgaleo and Lunala so you can get an extremely powerful Legendary. It requires a lot of Candy but it is certainly worth it!
