It looks like Front Mission 1st: Remake will soon be taking orders from other platforms. A Steam page for the game has appeared listing a June release date, along with a PlayStation Store listing in New Zealand, although no official announcement has been made yet.
Front Mission 1st: Remake launched exclusively on Nintendo Switch in November last year, but it now looks like you’ll be able to play it outside of Nintendo’s ecosystem if you want to. The Steam page for the game is live right now, and it lists a release date of June 30th (thanks, Gematsu). The Steam version will support Steam achievements and cloud saving, too.
As well as the Steam page for Front Mission 1st: Remake, a PlayStation Store page also seems to have appeared for the game, listing the same release date as the Steam version. The US and UK storefronts don’t appear to have the game listed yet, so it’s possible the appearance of these pages is a mistake ahead of an upcoming announcement. Developer and publisher Forever Entertainment hasn’t announced anything officially yet; the studio’s Twitter page and official website are quiet regarding extra platforms for Front Mission 1st: Remake.

Front Mission 1st: Remake is, believe it or not, a remake of Front Mission 1st, a PlayStation port of the Super Famicom original which added new content and story details. This remake features improved visuals and gameplay, as well as a reorchestrated soundtrack and various other improvements. A remake of the second Front Mission, bizarrely titled Front Mission 2: Remake, is also in the works for Switch, although it was recently delayed to Q3 this year.
Forever Entertainment will likely make an announcement regarding Front Mission 1st: Remake on Steam and PlayStation soon, as well as Xbox (although a Microsoft Store page has yet to appear for the game). In the meantime, you can play Forever’s mech RPG right now on Nintendo Switch.
