Sebastian Sallow is one of the most compelling characters in Hogwarts Legacy. As part of Slytherin, he exhibits a headstrong and cunning demeanor, though not particularly mean-spirited. Soon, you’ll learn that he just wants to cure his twin sister of her ailments. Hogwarts Legacy Sebastian Sallow quest guide
The Hogwarts Legacy Sebastian Sallow quest chain will take you from an early stage of the campaign all the way to the very end. Think of it as an arc with its own narrative, separate from the major plot points regarding the Goblin Rebellion and Ancient Magic Trials. Each Sebastian Sallow quest in Hogwarts Legacy has to be completed in order, and there are also some other requirements (i.e., reach a certain level or finish a particular main quest). Moreover, this arc is where you’ll be able to learn the Unforgivable Curses.
First meeting with Sebastian and becoming dueling buddies – You’ll be introduced to Sebastian during your first Defense Against the Dark Arts class. After this, you have to option of choosing either him or Natty as your dueling partner in Crossed Wands. He can also be chosen as the one who’ll accompany you when you first visit Hogsmeade. Your decisions here have no impact on the rest of the quest chain. The remaining steps will appear on your log, assuming you’ve already met the requirements.

In the Shadow of the Undercroft
- Level requirement: N/A
- Main quest requirement: Flying Class
- Notes: This is where you gain access to the Undercroft. You’ll also learn Confringo and meet Ominis Gaunt.

In the Shadow of the Bloodline
- Level requirement: N/A
- Main quest requirement: N/A
- Notes: This is just a short conversation. If it doesn’t pop up, you may need to finish a sidequest or just advance the time.
In the Shadow of the Study
- Level requirement: 16
- Main quest requirement: The High Keep
- Notes: This Hogwarts Legacy Sebastian Sallow quest leads to Slytherin’s Scriptorium, a secret area in the castle dungeons. After solving a few snake puzzles, you can decide on whether or not you’d learn Crucio.

- Main quest requirement: Fire and Vice
- Notes: This Hogwarts Legacy Sebastian Sallow quest has the group delving deep into Feldcroft Catacomb. You’ll battle a lot of Inferi here and, in the end, you can choose if you want to learn Imperio.

- Main quest requirement: N/A
- Notes: Yet another short conversation.

- Notes: Yes, this is another short conversation.
In the Shadow of the Relic
- Level requirement: N/A
- Main quest requirement: Lodgok’s Loyalty (the quest should also pop up once you’ve done the tasks to unlock San Bakar’s Trial)
- Notes: This is one of the more important Hogwarts Legacy Sebastian Sallow quests. In it, you’ll return to Feldcroft Catacomb, where a boss fight awaits. Here, you’ll be able to learn Avada Kedavra.

- Level requirement: N/A
- Main quest requirement: N/A
- Notes: This is a pivotal moment. When you talk to Ominis, he’ll ask whether Sebastian should be turned in or if you’ll keep the whole thing a secret.
In the Shadow of Friendship
- Level requirement: 24
- Main quest requirement: The Final Repository
- Notes: This takes place near the tail-end section of the campaign. What happens here depends on the choice you made during In the Shadow of Fate. Once you’re done, this will conclude the Sebastian Sallow quests in Hogwarts Legacy.
