The much-requested first-person mode is coming to Fortnite, according to prominent Fortnite leakers TSG and Shiina.
In today’s 23.30v update, files added by Epic Games pertaining to this first-person mode were found, leading many to believe that the mode will be added soon.
It has also been discovered that a highly anticipated animated character may finally be coming to Fortnite.
Following the 23.30v update, leakers TSG and Shiina discovered files for a first-person mode in Fortnite’s Battle Royale mode. While these files don’t necessarily mean the feature will be added, it all but guarantees it.
Of course, the first-person mode has been a staple of Fortnite for a while. It is accessible in both the Save the World and Creative modes.
However, while some guns in Fortnite’s Battle Royale mode switch to first-person when aiming, it is otherwise impossible to play in first-person.
When Is First-Person Mode Coming to Fortnite?
There is currently no confirmed date for the release of first-person mode in Fortnite. However, considering the files were added in update 23.30v, it seems likely the mode is coming soon.
It is possible that the first-person mode will be added in the upcoming 23.40v update. It is due to release in a few weeks.
While we likely won’t be able to use some of the most powerful mythics from a first-person perspective, you should still try and find the limited-time overpowered Dragon Ball powers added in the 23.30v update.
Additionally, Fortnite leaker Shiina encountered a bug that allowed them to access the first-person mode on the day the files were added.
Of course, currently, the ability to access first-person mode at the moment is clearly a bug. However, the feature will likely not look much different from what is seen in Shiina’s clip.
Leakers have also found proof that a popular Netflix show might be crossing over into Fortnite very shortly.
