Today Bandai Namco revealed the content of Season 3 of its anime-inspired hero shooter Gundam Evolution, including a new mobile suit.
The new season, titled “Defencer” releases on February 1 and its centerpiece is a new mobile suit, the CAT1-X1/3 Hyperion Gundam Unit 1 from Mobile Suit Gundam SEED X Astray.
This mobile suit comes with a deployable shield and barrier to control the front line but can also thrust through the enemy battle line with its Armure Lumiere Lancer G-Maneuver.
The update also brings a campaign that lets players earn 150 MP (up to a maximum of 600) every week simply by logging into the game between February 1 and March 1. Between February 1 and February 8, you’ll also get 1 Supply Pod Ticket per day.
Various balance adjustments will also be implemented with the update to kick off the new season on the right foot. Including in the tweaks are changes to the aim assists for the console versions of the game.

Gundam Evolution is a hero first-person shooter featuring mobile suits from the universe of the super-popular anime franchise Mobile Suit Gundam. It’s currently available as a free-to-play game-as-a-service (with the inevitable optional microtransactions) for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
