Ten months in the past, as Avonte Maddox and the remainder of his Philadelphia Eagles teammates plotted their playoff path towards Tremendous Bowl 59, they started mentally getting ready themselves for a showdown with the Detroit Lions.
An encounter with the NFC’s top seed was not solely possible – it appeared inevitable.
“They have been enjoying a lot soccer all year long,” Maddox advised the Free Press this week. “We have been planning for who we have been going to face. We thought it was going to be them. And sadly, they ended up shedding. So, we didn’t get an opportunity to play them.”
