There will not be many soccer video games Mike McGinley Sr. replays in his thoughts. The evening of Nov. 13, 1987, is likely one of the few.

On that November evening in 1987, McGinley’s Cathedral program – a state energy coming off its first of now 14 state championships in 1986 – went on the street to play an up-and-coming New Palestine program in a Class 3A regional recreation (there have been 5 highschool soccer courses on the time).
