Naughty Dog has gone ahead and made a small change to its logo across all its social channels. The classic paw print is now entirely made of ice, a week before The Game Awards. What could it mean?
Okay, to be fair this may simply be a lot of hullabaloo over nothing. The most boring answer could be that it’s just a change made now that we’re into December, with holidays on the doorstep.
A slightly less boring though still pretty dull theory is that it’s a simple nod to God Of War Ragnarok, but that raises the question as to why it is only being changed now, when that game released at the beginning of the month?
A more interesting thought could be this is an indicator that we’ll be seeing news about a PS5 update for The Last Of Us Part II soon. Or potentially a hint towards new Factions information on the horizon.
Potentially the most interesting theory is that this is our first hint towards seeing whatever new IP Naughty Dog is working on, perhaps something with a winter setting.
Really it could be for any number of reasons, but the change across all accounts and the timing still make it suspicious.
