Yankees infielder Jazz Chisholm Jr. abruptly departed Saturday's sport towards the Orioles within the fifth inning after being hit on the left forearm by a pitch.
With the Yankees holding a 6-0 lead over the Orioles, Chisholm got here to the plate with two on and two outs. He was plunked on the primary pitch by Baltimore pitcher Grant Wolfram, a 96.8 mph sinker, and instantly headed to the dugout and subsequently the tunnel. José Caballero pinch-ran for Chisholm and stayed within the sport at second base.
Preliminary X-rays and a CT scan had been damaging, the crew mentioned.
Chisholm, an All-Star for the second time in 2025, has hit .244 with a career-high 31 homers in 128 video games this season.
