An altercation prompted eight gamers and an assistant coach to be ejected from Springfield Excessive and Southeast’s highschool soccer sport at Spartan Discipline on Monday, in response to Springfield District 186 spokeswoman Rachel Dyas.
According to the radio broadcast on WFMB 1450 AM, the combat occurred after Southeast scored a landing with 10 minutes, 26 seconds left within the fourth quarter and rapidly ended.
Play ultimately resumed and Springfield Excessive gained 55-12.
The ejections entail a minimal one-game suspension and is being reviewed by the IHSA, in response to Dyas early Tuesday afternoon.
The sport, initially at Memorial Stadium, was postponed on Saturday on account of inclement climate.
