Cincinnati Bengals rookie defensive finish Shemar Stewart suffered an obvious leg damage through the fourth quarter of the workforce’s home-opening NFL Week 2 sport in opposition to the Jacksonville Jaguars at Paycor Stadium.
Stewart appeared to get rolled up on by teammate Logan Wilson. He was helped to the sideline, and could not put weight on his foot.
Stewart went to the blue medical tent for analysis.
“Extraordinarily gifted,” CBS colour analyst Logan Ryan stated. “They cannot afford for him to go down right this moment as well as Joe Burrow.”
On July 27, Stewart practiced with the team for the primary time since reaching an agreement with the team on a rookie contract July 25.
Stewart was the Bengals’ first-round pick within the 2025 NFL draft, seventeenth total. He didn’t conform to his rookie cope with the Bengals earlier than the rookie report date.
Stewart, who performed three seasons for the Texas A&M Aggies, turns 22 years outdated in November. Stewart had 4.5 sacks over three school seasons.
