PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Escape the unhappy trombone at Oklahoma: The Satisfaction of Oklahoma marching band has been benched.
The marching band wrote on social media that finances constraints compelled it to remain residence as a substitute of touring to Philadelphia for Saturday’s recreation between No. 13 Oklahoma and Temple.
The Saint Joseph’s pep band pinch-hit for OU and led “ Boomer Sooner ” for the sport at Lincoln Monetary Subject.
The Satisfaction of Oklahoma wrote the band would nonetheless journey to all Southeastern Convention street video games this season. The complete band will journey to Texas and the pep band will journey to South Carolina, Tennessee and Alabama.
