Recently, I bought a Jasper Xbox 360 because of nostalgia (since I had the same one) on ebay for 31 quid.
I deep cleaned the console as it was super dusty. When I was taking a look at the console, the casing is little yellowed and I noticed a little bit of rust on the metal shielding from top shell indicating that the console was stored in a damp room as there is that distinct smell to it but in the end the motherboard looks fine without any stains on it whatsoever except very minor rust on the dvd drive casing as that was my number one concern when I saw a little bit of rust on the metal. (I also accidentally broke on of the tabs that has the warranty sticker on it. Fragile plastic.)
The console fully works without any issues and I have done a long gaming session on it. Now I am wondering if I should keep the console or should I sell it? I already have a like new 360 slim and the other reason I bought this system is to have a backup. What would you do?
