The Chicago Cubs are hoping three straight days out of the lineup will deliver some life again to the bat of Pete Crow-Armstrong.
Crow-Armstrong is predicted to be again in middle area when the Cubs (80-60) open a three-game sequence towards the visiting Washington Nationals (56-83) on Friday afternoon.
Crow-Armstrong hit simply .160 in August with a .446 OPS and one dwelling run. He made his first MLB All-Star look in July after hitting .265 via that time of the season with an .847 OPS.
He had 25 dwelling runs and 71 RBIs on the All-Star break. He has simply three homers and 12 RBIs since then.
Crow-Armstrong was used as a defensive alternative late within the recreation on Tuesday towards the Atlanta Braves. Chicago supervisor Craig Counsell did not use Crow-Armstrong in Wednesday’s sequence finale, and the Cubs had Thursday off.
