BOISE, Idaho — In a Gem State rivalry, the Boise State and College of Idaho males’s basketball groups will face off on the hardwood for the primary time since 2014 within the state’s capital metropolis.
The 2 packages on Tuesday introduced they’ll meet in an exhibition sport this fall at Idaho Central Area earlier than the 2025-26 season. The showdown between the Broncos and Vandals is scheduled for 7 p.m. MDT on Friday, Oct. 17.
“When discussing potential alternatives to get our followers excited for the beginning of the season, this was a no brainer,” Boise State head coach Leon Rice stated in a news release. “The state of Idaho is crammed with educated and passionate basketball followers, and what higher technique to serve them than with the return of in-state basketball between the Broncos and Vandals.
The 2 Idaho universities have been long-time opponents, with video games courting again to 1971. In a complete of 89 video games, the Broncos lead the with a file of 54-35.
