LOS ANGELES (AP) — Los Angeles Dodgers reliever Tanner Scott left the sport within the ninth inning Monday evening after feeling ache in his left pitching arm.
It occurred when Scott was pitching to Minnesota’s Ryan Jeffers with one out.
“He mentioned it felt like a sting,” supervisor Dave Roberts mentioned, including that an X-ray and handbook testing didn't reveal any points. Scott can have an MRI on Tuesday.
Nonetheless, Roberts mentioned it's possible Scott might want to go on the injured listing.
“Hopefully it’s one thing that’s extra of a scare after which we will form of put him on ice for a little bit bit and get him again,” he mentioned.
Scott is 1-2 with a 4.14 ERA and a team-leading 19 saves this season. He gave up a run and walked two on 22 pitches in two-thirds of an inning earlier than leaving the sport.
