The Road To The Knockouts (RTTK) promo is returning to FIFA 23. Following on from the Ones to Watch, the RTTK is another promo featuring dynamic items.
The RTTK cards are European competition-themed cards featuring players who are competing in the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, and the UEFA Conference League.
Unlike OTW items, RTTK items already come with an upgrade and will be eligible for even more boosts.

FUT 23 Road To The Knockout Players
According to @FUTZONE, here are seven players who will feature in this promo.
- Lionel Messi – PSG
- Federico Valverde – Real Madrid
- Ibrahima Konate – Liverpool
- Pierre Emerick Aubameyang – Chelsea
- Theo Hernandez – AC Milan
- Phil Foden – Man City
- Raphinha – FC Barcelona
How RTTK Item Upgrades Work in FUT 23
The stipulations for upgrades to RTTK items have not been released just yet. However, in FIFA 22, Road to the Knockouts players could receive up to 3 upgrades, as shown below.
If EA has made any changes to the system, we will update this article to reflect that!
Initial Upgrade
All Road To The Knockout players in FIFA 22 were available for an initial upgrade for being included in the promotion.
Qualifying for the Knockout Stage
In FIFA 22, Road To The Knockout Stage items would receive a +1 upgrade if their club qualified for the knockout stage of the competition they were competing in.
This does not include qualifying for the UEFA Europa League from the UEFA Champions League. The top two teams in each European group will qualify for the knockout stage.
3 Wins in Next 4 Group Stage Matches
RTTK players would receive a +1 upgrade if they won 3 out of 4 of their remaining group stage matches.

The Road To the Knockouts promo will be released on Friday, 7 October 2022 at 10am PT / 1pm ET / 6pm BST.
