Stig Asmussen, the sport trade veteran who directed God of Struggle III and Star Wars Jedi: Survivor and Fallen Order, is growing a single-player action-adventure sport set on this planet of Dungeons & Dragons in partnership with writer Wizards of the Coast.
This would be the first venture for Asmussen's studio Big Cranium since its founding in late 2023. In a press launch despatched to Engadget, the studio shared it’s "devoted to constructing gameplay-driven, story-immersed action-adventure video games." The brand new venture might be constructed on the Unreal 5 engine and is at present in growth for PC, with console particulars coming at a later date. No particular launch dates, renderings or sport content material has been shared as of but, making it unlikely this sport might be out earlier than 2026.
John Hight, president of Wizards of the Coast (the homeowners of the enduring tabletop RPG), stated "Stig and the workforce at Big Cranium are precisely the kind of exceptionally gifted creators we wish to work with and I’m so completely satisfied to be reuniting with him on this new venture.” Stig Asmussen shared that the studio's purpose is to "craft a wealthy new Dungeons & Dragons universe crammed with immersive storytelling, heroic fight and exhilarating traversal that gamers will totally embrace."
This new venture comes as Wizards of the Coast moves on from its deal with developer Larian Studios, the workforce behind the widely-acclaimed Baldur's Gate 3. The Hasbro-owned writer has a slew of video games within the pipeline in partnership with varied sport studios in america and Canada. These embody the sci-fi RPG Exodus, which is being developed by Archetype Leisure, and Atomic Arcade’s Snake Eyes, which relies on the G.I. Joe.
