One FIFA pro player has already found a formation that they predict will dominate the competitive meta in FIFA 23.
This year’s FIFA completely changes the mechanics of FIFA 23 with the new HyperMotion 2 technology. This technology brings more realism to the overall movements of the players and also changes various aspects of the gameplay.

CareyFIFA, a FIFA pro player, has revealed that the 5-1-2-2 formation is the current meta in FIFA 23.
This formation features a strong foundation of five defenders that can easily play up the field and dominate your opponents in possession.
If you’re looking to be more aggressive and don’t mind leaving your defense a bit open, you may want to opt to use the 4-2-2 (2) Holding formation.

Despite this position having two CMs and two STs, each side will have slightly different instructions. This is to ensure that you always have an attacking option without leaving any holes in your midfield.
