Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and Xbox Live Gold members will have two games to play for free over the weekend, including Dead Island Definitive Edition, thanks to Free Play Days.
Free Play Days is offering up Dead Island Definitive Edition and Hunting Simulator 2 (as well as the separate Xbox One version) as this weekend’s free games. You’ll need an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or Xbox Live Gold subscription to play them until Monday.

It’s a rough weekend for completionists this week, as both games require a considerable amount of playtime to finish. Dead Island looks to be the quickest, with an estimated completion time of 50 to 60 hours to unlock all of the Dead Island Definitive Edition achievements. If you follow our Dead Island walkthrough written by Afflictions and Solobrus22, you could potentially have it done in 40 hours, so just quick enough to fit it in before Free Play Days ends on Monday. Eight of the achievements do require a co-op partner, so you might want to consider setting up a Gaming Session or check the Gaming Sessions calendar here on TrueAchievements to find like-minded users.

Since launching last year, only five members have unlocked all of the Hunting Simulator 2 achievements and nine members have unlocked all of the Hunting Simulator 2 (Xbox One) achievements, so we’ve not got any estimated completion times to go on for these. What is apparent, though, is the majority of the completions look to have taken well over 100 hours, so you’ll be hard put getting these games done this weekend. The game is featured in this week’s Xbox sales, with both versions rocking 60% discounts, so that’s worth remembering if you decide to give the game a go.
