
RALEIGH, N.C. (WITN) – A Duplin County man took an opportunity on a $10 scratch-off and received the primary $1 million high prize in a brand new lottery sport.
N.C. Training Lottery says Edward Bass of Kenansville purchased his Fortunate Loteria ticket from the Kenansville Meals Mart on Mallard Road.
When Bass acquired to the lottery headquarters Friday, N.C. Training Lottery stated he may select to get his prize as an annuity of $50,000 over 20 years or a lump sum of $600,000.
Bass selected the lump sum of $600,000 and, after required tax withholdings, took dwelling $430,503.
N.C. Training Lottery says the Fortunate Loteria sport debuted this week with 4 high prizes of $1 million. Three $1 million prizes stay to be claimed.
