Another Pokemon coming to Gen 9 has been revealed as Scarlet & Violet teases the color-loving Grafaiai!
If you just can’t wait for more Pokemon Scarlet and Violet news, keep your eyes glued to the official Pokemon Twitter account. After all, for the last couple of days, the social media has been teasing a brand-new Pokemon for Generation 9.
With Scarlet and Violet’s release date drawing ever closer, we’re beginning to learn a little more about what’s to come.
Recently, we got our first proper gameplay reveal of the Paldea region and the Pokemon that inhabit it. And now, one more Pokemon is getting ready to make its debut.

Pokemon Scarlet & Violet Reveals Graffiti Pokemon Grafaiai
In a series of new images, the Pokemon Twitter account teases a new creature that loves to leave behind colorful patterns in its wake. And in today’s post, we even got our first sneak peek at Grafaiai itself.
Although the Pokemon is still mostly hidden from view, we can see what appears to be a silhouette of its face, hiding behind one of its painted trees.
The name Grafaiai (as well as its colorful paintings) also seems to indicate that this Pokemon is known for the graffiti it leaves behind.
It’s not just stripes that the Pokemon is painting across Paldea either. It seems that the creature also enjoys leaving targets on rocks and trees around the region.
And although we don’t yet know much about the creature, the latest post indicates an ‘exciting revelation’ is coming soon.
What Is Grafaiai?
The aiai part of the name could could suggest that this Pokemon is based on the Aye-aye, a long-fingured lemur that’s native to Madagascar.
But what’s even more interesting is that Urdaibai Biosphere Reserve is a natural reserve in Oma Forest, Spain, where artist Agustín Ibarrola’s painted trees show the relationship between humans and nature.
